Just declared that Google Labs’ Website Trends tool crapper place graphs side-by-side. Hard drawing are not shown, which is belike sharp on their part. And ‘tiny’ sites aforementioned companies in my business don’t impact sufficiency traffic.
So ground not compare ThomasNet and GlobalSpec? This accumulation I restricted to army users, since worldwide, the trends were nearly the aforementioned (and army is my market). I also proven adding iqsdirectory.com, but not sufficiency reciprocation to rank.
Thomas shows more reciprocation than GlobalSpec from army visitors:
In the aforementioned concealment they also exhibit another sites their users visited. (Blue forbid =TN, Red forbid =GS)
TN’s visitors staleness allow a aggregation of their salespeople, as the #1 ‘also visited’ place is their extranet. #3 Webtraxs.com is their website analytics tool.
Meanwhile GlobalSpec’s visitors impact ip09.com the most, which I am guessing staleness patron their account noesis somehow. Interesting to wager trade-pub Machine Design as #2 ‘also visited’ site.
Like some trend-graph, things are unstoppered for interpretation. What do you conceive this every means? Ultimately, I am hunting at leads delivered, but this gives an coverall intent of visibility.

1Ultimately, you should be looking for the vendor that can support the most broad ranging of your Internet Marketing needs. While ThomasNet outperforms GlobalSpec in traffic, you could have 10,000 visitors to your site a day if none of those visitors are being successfully converted to RFQs, emails or phone inquiries its of little benefit. In fact, it could even be hurting you since 40% of visitors who leave a site without finding the information they were seeking never return!!!
ThomasNet has always been the leader in driving the largest amount of qualified visitors. Where they really shine these days is their expertise in working with clients to develop web solutions which successfully convert a clients’ site into an sales channel and active contributor to a companies bottom line. I read an article two weeks ago in the Wall Street Journal ( http://online.wsj.com/article/SB121199439394026485.html?mod=SmallBusinessSmallBusinessLink_feature_articles ) that highlighted a ThomasNet client Riten industries which was now receiving 50% of their new business via the web thanks to their involvement with Thomas’ web solution technology.
For my money I want a company that can provide a total solution that way I know they can deliver whatever my organization may need in terms of support not just another media company like GlobalSpec or IQS.
